Free Welder/Fitter

The right attitude is everything! Your welding may need a little work, but if you have the right attitude and work ethics, we can train & certify you to be in an elite class of the trade. This is a long term position for the career minded. No travel so no per diem. We are a technical ASME code shop so only the best need to apply.

FCAW/GMAW Welder

· Must be able to pass a 6G pipe and/or 3g structural test

· Forecast potential issues and resolve known issues

· Machine settings to be used for each task

· Read and understand weld symbols and sizes on blueprint

· Properly brace/strongback and skip weld parts to prevent warping/movement

· Consistently produce sound welds free of discontinuities

· Take direction from QC when making repairs

· Keep up with production demands

· Communicate in a professional manner to co workers

· Give direction to apprentices

· Clean work area daily

· Always adhere to all safety guidelines

Basic Tools for the Job

· Welding hood

· Mig pliers

· Hammer

· Chisels

· Proper welding attire

· Appropriate safety gear (if applicable)
