Skills

Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products

Experience with JD Edwards ERP system (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actuals
Manage and enhance the cost accounting system
Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activities
Participate and lead physical inventories, reporting results to the executive group
Assist in month-end closing by preparing journal entries
Collaborate with operations and engineering for costing and support of new product development
Generate various ad hoc reports as requested by management
Enhance standard cost reporting and variance analysis

Qualifications

BS in accounting/finance
5+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on cost accounting
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
Self-starter with strong relationship-building skills

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Experience Requirements

5+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting within manufacturing
