Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse training program.
Must have post-graduate studies demonstrating proficiency in writing, editing and proofing skills.
Licensure: Active NY State RN license (mandatory).
Experience:
2+ years in acute care (medicine/surgery or special care units preferred).
1-3 years in acute care utilization review.
Proven proficiency in writing/editing (writing sample or publication required).
Technical Skills:
Expertise in electronic medical records (coding, charting, quality metrics).
Advanced proofreading, grammar, and mathematical validation skills.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
