Free Plastics Dies Setter/Operator

We are a well-established Australian manufacturing company based in Brendale, Queensland. We offer a wide range of extruded and injection moulded products to the
building, health, mining and retail industries.

We have an immediate start with Two (2) positions available for an experienced Plastics Die Setter/Operator familiar with injection/extrusion machines.
You will be working within our production team on Day Shift with hours being 06:00am to 2:00pm.

Responsibilities

As a Plastics Die Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out all necessary preparations, set-ups and troubleshooting
for a range of Injection and extrusion equipment.
You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
You will be able to follow procedures ensuring safety, efficiency and quality.

Your role will include but is not limited to:

Technical background in die setting
Willing to share your knowledge with others
Injection moulding set-ups and troubleshooting
Respond to and minimise occurrences of faults and breakdowns
Maintain machines to minimise down time
Inspect quality of products, diagnose and correct issues
Trial runs with new dies and equipment
Die changes and minimising changeover time
Packing of goods

What we are looking for:

1+ years experience in Injection and or Extrusion moulding troubleshooting
Ability to problem solve with precision
Extensive plastics manufacturing industry experience
Forklift licence
Develop and maintain positive work relationships with colleagues and management
Reliable and able to provide efficient and quality service in a timely manner
General understanding of WHS policies and procedures
