Free Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations and delivering quality pharmaceutical care to patients. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.

  • Maintain proper inventory levels, including receiving and checking in pharmaceutical supplies.

  • Manage medication storage and organization to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Process prescription orders, including entering information into the pharmacy software system and verifying insurance coverage.

  • Provide patients with information on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements as directed by the pharmacist.

  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Perform routine administrative tasks, such as managing pharmacy records and maintaining patient confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.

  • Execute other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist or pharmacy manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician program is preferred.

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and processes is an advantage.

  • Ability to adhere to ethical and legal standards in pharmacy practice.
