Free Industrial Electrician - Underground

The Industrial Electrician will play a crucial role at our underground zinc operation at the Empire State Mine site in Gouverneur, NY. This position requires relocation and involves working 5–10-hour shifts with 2 days off each week. Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders.

Skills

Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial electrical experience
Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions for safe and efficient work
Capacity to develop knowledge of hoisting and crushing operations, troubleshoot same (NICE TO HAVE)
Strong technical aptitude in electrical installations and repairs

Responsibilities

Run cable/wire/communication
Mount J-boxes, control boxes, and switches boxes – mechanical installation
Read and follow prints
Test and troubleshoot circuits, motors, fans, controllers, VFDs, and transformers
Complete all terminations and splicing, including high voltage splices
Develop knowledge of hoisting/crushing operations – troubleshoot as needed

Qualifications

Must have 3 years of relevant industrial electrical experience
Ability to follow safety protocols and perform tasks without posing a safety threat

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant technical training preferred.
