Free Fitter and Welder - Costa Guyra (Tomato Exchange)

About the Job
Duties include:
Determines suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
Fit fabricated metal parts and assembles metal parts to produce machines and equipment
Conduct checks parts for accuracy, clearance and fit
Sets guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, sets up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses, and sets controls for textile machines
Forms metal stock and castings to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
Cuts, threads, bends and installs pipes and lines
Performs operational maintenance of machines, parts and equipment
Conducts reactive and preventative maintenance tasks as directed.

Skills/Qualifications and Experience Required for the Role
Relevant AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or relevant AQF Certificate IV, or at least 3 years relevant experience.
Proven ability to commit to working positively, constructively and effectively in a team environment.
The ability to relate well to others, including the ability to work in a respectful and collaborative manner.
Relevant qualifications/licenses including Forklift, Chem Cert, Working at heights and confined spaces.
A commitment to ongoing professional and personal development.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality, including the ability to follow standard procedures.
Physical fitness with the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time and work in restricted spaces.
Good general literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
A commitment to working cooperatively and respectfully in a multicultural workforce.
A willingness to work outside normal hours, including working night shifts if required.

Salary:
$65,000-$85,000 p.a. plus super
