Cloud Administrator/Engineer
We are seeking a Cloud administrator/engineer to develop and implement our
growing cloud workload demands. This candidate will be a direct
contributor to our cloud evolution and will be responsible for maintaining
the systems that comprise the underlying platform. They will be expected
to implement cost-effective cloud solutions to provide benefit to many
project specific working groups and domains.
Responsibilities:
· Assess current cloud implementation, identify gaps, create and
execute improvement plans
· Provision, configure, and maintain Azure services (SaaS, PaaS,
IaaS) components
· Attend meetings for shaping cloud service policies within an
enterprise in step with industry best practices
· Assist with the implementation of cloud application
observability
· 24/7 troubleshooting and support of Azure services and components
· Providing root cause analysis and details to help implement more
resilient solutions
· Develop process and procedures for operational support
(monitoring, change management, incident management, etc.) aligning with
enterprise practices
· Create reporting for cost control and cost governance for cloud
applications and services
Experience/Qualifications:
· College degree or/equivalent and 5-7 years related work
experience, required
· 3-5 years? experience with managing and securing Azure cloud
service offerings
· 2-3 years? experience of systems administration of Windows and/or
Linux
· 2-3 years? experience with IaC languages, terraform preferred
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate via Exam
AZ-104, or previous AZ-103)
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Technologies Expert via Exam
AZ-500, or with demonstrable pursuit of certification
· Working knowledge of common and industry standard
cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID,
etc.).
· Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and
security configuration management preferred.
· Proficiency in scripting programming languages
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in
a team environment
· Ability to work independently with minimal direction;
self-starter/self-motivated
· Technical writing experience
