3PL Systems Product Manager

Relocation Acceptable - Locals Preferred

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

We would like for the candidate to be on the East Coast, and are open to fully remote candidates as well. Preferably in one of the following states: PA, MD, NY, NJ, OH, WV, VA or SC. Candidates in CA with the right experience may be considered.

The 3PL Systems Product Manager is responsible for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) services that we use to manage our client’s inventory. This position will handle all aspects of client services to include scoping, planning, development, implementation and on-going efficiency optimization, serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on 3PL systems and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all aspects, from start to finish, of WMS, 3PL and 360 Clients.

· Manages and develops timeline, roadmap, scoping, planning, development with partners, implementation, and on-going efficiency optimization in collaboration with Operations team and Client, ensuring best fit, efficiency and data management results; ensures targets are met and/or updates accordingly.

· Drives conversations regarding development with system developers; secures and implements process improvements in warehouses and systems to increase efficiency and scalability.

· Responsible for timely and effective implementation of new WMS, 3PLC and 360 clients.

· Ensures continued work and involvement with Operations teams and Client, including post-implementation, to ensure best fit, efficiency and data management results.

· Manages established key processes as well as develops additional strategies in alignment with goals and objectives consistent with high levels of customer service, cost controls and compliance.

· Develops and reports on 3PL Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for optimization using the data and metrics; provides recommendations for improvement and efficiency; reports data to management on a regular/set basis.

· Audits billing to ensure accuracy.

· Sets meeting agendas, runs meetings, take minutes and follows up on action items.

· Owns the integrated timeline for program deliverables.

· Coordinates the team around long-term planning and goal setting and budget tracking; takes ownership of these processes.

· Monitors program costs and profit and labor requirements.

· Develops, schedules and leads project close-out processes throughout the lifecycle of the program looking for opportunities for continuous improvement.

· Sees through the execution and launch of customer initiatives; works with systems key stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and delivered timely to Client.

· Creates a plan for efficient Client communications, including a plan for cascading appropriate information to key stakeholders.

· Conducts effective day to day communications with the customer to resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.

· Follows a standardized approach to business process management; uses project management skills to facilitate cross-functional teams through the process.

· Identifies opportunities for optimization using data and metrics, making improvement and/or efficiency suggestions based on metrics.

· Supports organizational growth by designing, modeling, executing, monitoring and optimizing new and existing business processes as assigned by Management.

· Other special projects or duties as assigned by management.


· Ability to acquire TSA certification (required).

· Direct experience with leading projects.

· Exceptional listening skills; ability to work directly with clients and personnel to obtain desired information to ensure successful project outcome.

· Demonstrated competency and utilization of WMS; proficient with spreadsheets and data analysis.

· Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize.

· Must be able to work in an environment in which there is minimal supervision and where flexibility is required; proven experience to self-perform is strongly desired.

· Ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely responses and completion of tasks/projects;

ability to tolerate periods of stress and adhere to deadlines.

· Highly flexible with business change in directions from a project, plan and schedule standpoints.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary):

1. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in supply chain discipline or related experience.

2. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Program Management, Management Consulting or a related field.

3. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with Warehouse Management and/or 3PL systems.

4. Experience with high volume or high value pick and pack Finished Goods inventory.

5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook; strong utilization of Microsoft or other applications/software for analysis and reporting.

6. Strong knowledge of WMS, 3PL and other common systems used in manufacturing and logistics.

7. Experience with Intelex a plus.
