Free Production Supervisor

This person will be responsible for supervisory management within the Production areas and for ensuring that all assigned tasks are delivered on time, according to specification and budget.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure all policies are followed at all times through each stage of the process and manage any non-compliance. Liaise with all relevant departments to ensure orders are achieved on time. Generation of all production documents required, including batch documentation/works orders, , relevant SOPs etc. Development of training programs and ensures effective training is delivered to all key staff once recruited. Provide technical support for all operational matters. Co-ordinate the day-to-day activities within the Production, Stores, Distribution, departments. Manage absence, attendance and time keeping. Review completed works order documentation, ensuring policy and processing compliance is achieved at all times. To be the Subject Matter Expert for all Process Equipment. Ensure process efficiency and effectiveness are maintained by good communication and planning. Ensure all resources, materials, people, etc., are available as required to meet the schedule, and are utilized in the most efficient manner. Review process rates, ensuring consistency, address any problem area. Communicate with other departments such as Scheduling, QC, Purchasing and Engineering to ensure that operations are planned and completed in an efficient manner. Support testing for process equipment. Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures relating to Operations. Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices within the Company, and to ensure they are adhered to by all employees. Identify appropriate PPE and ensuring that all employees wear it appropriately at all times. Conduct risk assessments and OSHA analysis as required. Ensure all accidents and near misses are investigated, reported and documented at the time of event.


QUALIFICATIONS:


High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years supervisory experience required. 5+ years experience in production required. Experience as a key trainer for equipment and procedures required. Ability to climb ladders and to work under machines as required. Working knowledge of production scheduling activities required. Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentational and interpersonal). Proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize tasks within a high volume, varied workload. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project knowledge preferred. Working knowledge of computerized inventory systems preferred. Ability to be on-call and able to work flexible hours required.
